Woofs ‘n Whiskers is the place for your “exotic” pet. We haven’t said “No” to an exotic pet yet! Our team members have experience caring for all types of birds, including Cockatoos, Parrots, Love Birds, Parakeets, and a beautiful Chukar (a partridge from Afghanistan found wandering the streets of Brooklyn). The birds stay up front with us at the front desk so that there is plenty of human interaction and activity to keep them busy.
All “pocket pets” have a place here at Woofs ‘n Whiskers. We have quite a contingency of rabbits and guinea pigs that stay with us regularly. There is also Yogi, the white pet rat. We are as hands on with the lil’ guys as time allows.
Let us not forget our scaled friends – snakes, turtles, and lizards are all welcome. Danielle is a true herpephile and has owned many a scaly beast over the years! Ezzy, the common green iguana, is a regular at Woofs ‘n Whiskers. We do everything we can to ensure each pet’s special needs and requirements are met.
We require that you provide your pet’s food, bedding, and cage. We provide the special attention and care that ensures your pet is comfortable and happy. All exotics are kept securely away from the cattery and kennel for the safety of all our guests. While the exotics do not cross paths with our other guests, they receive plenty of attention from the Woofs ‘n Whiskers’ staff.
